Many of u know I have a touch scene phone and hate it! I don't believe I will ever again get a touch screen phone unless its the only thing u can get.... Why am I writing this? Well... Currently I'm sitting in the passenger seat of my car traveling to Austin for the weekend. As cool as it is to be driving down the road on the internet I am less than thrilled with this ipads tough screen. Maybe its the cod in me but finger prints all over the screen really just drives me up the wall. I'm laughing as I write that last statement, in fact I'm laughing as I write this whole paragraph because I'm complaining about advanced technology and being privileged enough to have something most people don't. Sometimes I can be so selfish really. It's a quality I really Ned to work at..... This is not at all the direction I was hoping this post would go... Here to the start of a fresh paragraph!
Uh oh... I just saw we have 5 miles to buc-ees. If u don't know what that is, you really need to find out so you should probably get in the car aft looking up the closest one and taking a fun trip. Haha I make it sound like an amusement park.. Its def. Not that!

"Buy Used, Save the Diffrence"
If you know me at all, you know I have a strange obsession to the Duggar's. (The one's that have 19 kids.) It's something about their family that makes me want to jump through the TV and go live with them. I really think they are great parents and have raised wonderful kids! When I moved to Texas and didn't have anything to do but sit around all day, I started reading a lot. One book I read was the book that Mr. and Mrs. Duggar wrote. In this book were recipes, tips on raising children, and of course the secrets on how they have (now) 19 kids and are completely debt free. It just amazes me! Anyway, one of the things you will hear a lot on their show is "Buy Used, Save the Difference." I've been trying to adopt this principle with whatever I can, because really, do we all need new stuff all of the time? And what happens to the used stuff when people need to get rid of it. It goes to the dump, even though it's in perfectly good shape.
With the surprise of this baby, and not being in an ideal financial standing, I've really tried to think about the kinds of things that I can get used. As good as this concept sounds to me, in the back of my mind though, I struggle with wondering if I'm somehow cheating Baby... But yesterday changed all of that!!!
Friday Night Nick and I went in search of a sale USA baby was having. We looked at cribs and strollers and one particular travel system (car seat/stroller) caught our attention. It is the same car seat that the girl I nanny for uses. I just like the way it looks, the safety rating on it, and the ease of use. The price just seemed so high, so we looked at Babies R Us. We found the same travel system in a different color and just fell in love with it. We both agreed this is hands down what we want. We had decided not to purchase it that night, but go home and think about how we would pay for this.
The Stats:
*Travel System that includes Car Seat(+ base), and Stroller= $299.99
*Extra Car Seat Base for 2nd Car= $79.99
*Tax (.085)= $32.30
TOTAL= $412.28
Nick went to bed that night, and I stayed up for just a bit extra. I decided I would look on Craigslist... just by the mere chance someone was selling what we wanted.
SURE ENOUGH!! Some guy posted an entry just 3 hours before I looked, and he was in a good part of town!! I quickly emailed him, and told him we could come by the next day to look at it. He text me that morning to ask if we could come at 1... and when we got there, it was everything we had hoped for! It was in perfect condition, had only been used for 6 months, had never been in an accident, had no stains except for one of the strap guards... and was just awesome. We were sold!
Total Price of Used System + extra base= $160
MONEY SAVED: $252.28
We brought it home and I quickly launched into Mom Mode. I took all the fabric off and set up a washing station in the kitchen, scrubbing it all down. Straps included! I then threw everything in the washer and dryer and couldn't not be happy at the way it looks and smells. Today I put everything back on again, after wiping down every visible surface! Nick looked at me at one point and said "This is what we will be carrying the baby home from the hospital in." It was so cute, it made me want to cry!
So here we are, 6/7 months go to and already have a stroller and car seat! Here are some pictures!
This is after I took everything off.

Everything out of the dry, stain free and smelling wonderful

IN OTHER NEWS!
Nick and I have agreed up names! Both the girl and Boy name start with the letter J. If and when we find out the baby's sex, we might announce the name as well. I dunno, we have a few weeks for that still.

Healthy Baby, Healthy Mom.
I'm a few days late in posting, but I'm sure you all have already heard, I have a healthy baby in my tummy!!
I had waited for Friday to come for so long, to just sweep the last 12 weeks under the rug, and finally let the excitement start that we are going to be parents. I'm not really sure what I had imagined for this appointment, but whatever it was, is not what I got. I was in and out of the office in less than 5 min. holding a picture of my beautiful baby. The doctor was trying to measure baby on the screen, and we got to see baby JUMP! It was so cute! The first time, doctor was holding the thing steady on my tummy and it just jumped, and the 2nd time, doctor put a little bit more pressure down, just to see baby do it's trick again. While we didn't see the heartbeat as clear as we had the other times, seeing blueberry jump was awfully exciting. :)
Other good news! I'm off my progesterone supplements!!! Such a wonderful feeling! Let's just hope Blue's home will produce enough now to keep um healthy!
That's all for now!

Blueberry's & Mommy's First Photo!
While Mom was visiting I asked her to take a picture of Nick and I in front of our house. After that photo was taken I said jokingly "don't you want a picture of Blueberry?" Well, before I could cover baby up, she snapped a photo. I now present to you Mommy and Blueberry's First Photo.

The nerves are slowly going away, and more than ever I am anticipating our Friday appointment to see our Blue's heart beating fast. I am taking the fact that I am still very nauseated throughout the day that BB is growing just as baby should. I have been experiencing some unusual pain that causes me to get up at 3:30am, and eat cheerios and facebook... but we'll see what the Doc has to say about all that Friday.
This week Blue is officially the size of a Lime. I hope Baby T likes Limes, cause that's the color of baby's nursery. (Wow, it's really hard not to use he/she when talking about a person.)
Lastly. My (2nd) Cousin Nicole (Fetla) Ayres, had little baby Jaxon last night. Looking at those pictures only gets me giddy for the memories Nick and I will have from the night BB makes their appearance into the world.
Ok I lied 1 more thing: Praise God for giving me such an amazing husband! He has been more helpful, more loving, more caring, more gracious that I ever deserve a man should be towards me. He is just... Wonderful! :)

Momma Mia
Mom just left. It was so wonderful having her here. It really makes me sit and wonder if I will have that strong of a bond with my child. It's pretty emotional to think about actually, maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones or maybe it's just that, really my mom is one of the most special people in the world to me. Sometimes I catch myself asking Nick "why can't you do things the way my mom does?" As unfair to him as it is, it's kinda funny. His response is always... "she taught you everything you know... thats why you like the way she does things." He is right...
I can only sit here and hope and pray that one day when my child is 23, going on 24, they will beg me to stay longer in my visit. I hope my blueberry wants to hug me and never let me go, even when they are married and starting a family of their own. I can only hope my child, the one I love more than anything already, will love me even when I make mistakes, and will love the wisdom that I spend years teaching them. I really pray, that this child growing strong inside of me loves me, as much as I love my parents.
In other news, I am feeling much better. Not 1/2 as sick as I was. My next apointment is April 23rd. I cannot wait to see that little heartbeat, beating away. I pray it is still going fast and strong and blue is holding on tight to mommy growing away! The 23rd will mark the end of my 1st trimester, so hopefully I will feel ready to start sharing the news with more friends and family. For now, keep those prayers acoming :) And visits area always a wonderful thing from anybody ;)

Look out World… We have a troublemaker brewing!
Baby Taube decided to make trouble on Friday. Nick and I have recently joined a gym, mainly so I know I could stay active during pregnancy despite the Houston summer weather. Well, thinking that Aquacise would be a great way to keep active, I went to my first workout class on Thursday night. I started experiencing some pain afterward, but didn’t think anything of it. I was up most of the night last night, with a strange feeling something wasn’t right. Went to work that next morning, thankfully got off early and when I got home start to have more unusual symptoms. Since it was Good Friday, my Dr. who was on call (I actually think he was in a movie) told me to go to the Hospital and get checked out. After 5 ½ hours, a few tests, and one beautiful baby with a heart rate of 175 on the ultrasound screen the Doctor had told us I have a small hemorrhage between my uterine wall and the baby’s placenta. Basically, it’s not good news, and it’s not bad news. It’s just News and something to keep a lookout for. This baby I tell ya… TROUBLE!!!
It still doesn’t feel real yet. I’m wondering when it will sink it. I just feel like I’m living someone else’s life.
In other news, I am having my book club over for dinner on Thursday and MOM COMES ON THURSDAY!!! I’m extremely excited for both of these things to happen. Nick and I are working on getting the Office together and once that happens the house will be officially put together. Not finished, just put together.
